Women Conductors and Composers Breaking Barriers

In support of JMU’s “Celebrating Women Breaking Barriers” events, The Music Library has materials on display by women conductors and women composers. Both fields are historically male-dominated, and women still make up a very small percentage of conductors of large, full-time ensembles.  These women are breaking barriers as they follow their passion.  We invite you to peruse the materials and read more about these displays by visiting the Music Library.
