Virtual workshop on “open” textbooks

Posted May 12, 2020 in JMU Libraries News, Open Education News

Open textbooks provide faculty with customizable course materials and can help alleviate the burden of textbook costs for students. This asynchronous online workshop will introduce faculty to open textbooks and allow you to explore reputable open textbooks that you can use. After you complete the workshop, you’ll be eligible to write a review of an open textbook and receive a $200 stipend. The stipend is funded by VIVA, Virginia’s Academic Library Consortium.

We’re accepting applications until June 22. The workshop will take you about 90 minutes and can be completed any time from May 18 to June 30. Learn more or apply now.
