The front is back! Carrier Library’s historic entrance now open
Posted August 22, 2016 in JMU Libraries News
JMU prides itself on being a campus where we “open doors.” In that spirit, I am pleased to announce that, in time for the fall semester, Carrier Library’s Historic Entrance has been re-opened.
The entrance has been locked since the early 1980s, when Carrier Library was expanded. We are re-opening the entrance now to allow easier access into Carrier Library, and for library visitors to make more use of the beautiful Centennial Fountain area.
We’ve also made several other changes to the spaces in Rose & Carrier this summer and we’re excited to celebrate these updates with a Carrier Library Grand Re-Opening celebration. All are invited to this celebration, which will be on September 23 at 10am.
