Extra Study Spaces for Finals at JMU
Buildings all over JMU open up extra study space at the end of the semester to support you as you prepare for final exams. Here’s what you need to know about extra study space in Fall 2024:
Rose Library
From December 2-13, 2024, rooms 3311 and 3313 are open for you to study whenever Rose is open! As you exit the elevators on the 3rd floor of Rose, turn right and follow the sign that says “Classrooms.” Swipe your JACard at the door to enter. If you run into any trouble, visit the Ask the Library Desk.
We also offer expanded hours in Rose Library during finals week, with Rose open until 2am on December 6-12. View all library hours.
Student Success Center (SSC)
From December 5-12, rooms 1075 and 4049 are reserved as study spaces for most of SSC’s open hours. If you’re unsure, check the signs outside the doors.
The Union (Warren, Taylor, and Grafton-Stovall)
On December 8, you can study in room 203. From December 9-11, rooms 206, 256, and the TDU Stage and Billiards area are designated as study space for most or all of the hours that The Union is open.
Festival
From December 9-12, you can usually find dedicated study space in the Allegheny Room (room 2018 on the upper level) or the Highlands Room (room 1140 on the lower level). Any other spaces in Festival, as long as they are not reserved for events, are available for study space—this includes the Grand Ballroom. If you’re unsure, check the signs outside the doors.
