About me
I joined JMU in 2004 and am currently the Associate Dean for the Learning Innovations & Design unit in James Madison University Libraries, which offers services such as instructional design, educational technology, classroom technology, media production, and makerspaces. These services support the JMU community in effectively integrating instructional technologies into teaching, learning, and research. My research and scholarship interests include leadership within Libraries, instructional technology, online learning, and the representation of females in STEM fields.
I earned my B.S. in Technology Education from Virginia Polytechnic and State Institute in 2000, followed by a M.Ed. in Educational Technology from James Madison University. I have over two decades of experience in the educational field, spanning both K-12 and higher education. Over the past 20 years I have served in various roles within James Madison University Libraries, including approximately 15 years in leadership positions. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two teenage sons, and dogs, enjoying outdoor activities, attending soccer games, and spending quality time together.
