Some Library Books Are Moving!
Posted January 30, 2023 in Carrier Renovation News, JMU Libraries News
As previously announced, some of our books are moving from Carrier Library to Rose Library this semester, including our entire reference collection and many of our social sciences books.
Once the movers start the process of relocating these books in the week of February 6, they will be unavailable for a few weeks. In the meantime, you can use these resources from our collections that provide similar content:
Need something specific? During these moves, Interlibrary Loan may be able to provide a copy of a book that is temporarily unavailable in our own collection.
What’s next?
- In May, all remaining collections in Carrier will be moved to on-campus storage, and will remain there—accessible via library delivery—while Carrier Library is closed for renovation and expansion.
- You will still be able to access books during construction (including through campus delivery!), but your method of access may change for some items.
- Learn more about what is happening to the books before, during, and after the Carrier renovation.
