Learn more about open and affordable textbooks, open education, and open pedagogy at the Open & Affordable Community Forum on November 15.
- All JMU faculty are invited to attend this free event.
- You can attend on Zoom or in person (in Richmond, VA, at Reynolds Community College, Parham Road Campus)
- This forum will explore the theme, “Empowering Faculty and Students through Open.”
- The presentation lineup includes speakers from JMU and other Virginia institutions. JMU presenters include Elaine Kaye, Nicole Wilson, and Dr. Fawn-Amber Montoya, whose presentation is titled, “Sustaining Open projects with an ethic of care: a model for instructional design and Libraries support.”
- We’re proud to note that this forum is chaired by our Open Education Librarian, Liz Thompson, and hosted by VIVA, Virginia’s Academic Library Consortium.
