Did you know that VIVA and JMU Libraries provide seamless support for some article processing charges (APCs)? This means that, as a JMU author, you have the opportunity to make your articles open access in participating journals. We have established APC agreements with multiple publishers, including:

Wiley is the newest publisher to partner with VIVA on a transformative agreement. These agreements reduce or eliminate direct costs to authors by bundling them into library subscription fees. Learn how you can publish an open access article with Wiley, or get an overview of all of our publisher agreements.

Supporting your ability to choose open access options for your peer-reviewed articles is just one way JMU Libraries and our partners across Virginia continue to promote faculty scholarship and work toward a more sustainable publishing ecosystem—even after the global Open Access Week celebration has wrapped up!
