New Exhibit at the Music Library

Posted January 12, 2017 in Exhibits

The JMU Music Library’s Little Gallery Underground is launching a new show, “LET Talent.” It features work by Libraries & Educational Technologies (LET) staff members.  The exhibit is open now through March 9 with an opening reception on Friday, January 20, from 3:30-4:30pm in the Music Library.

Each of the pieces in this exhibit, both on the gallery wall and in the display case, has some connection to music.  John Hazelwood’s “Piano Plant”, worthy of the finest of floral shops, was created using parts from a piano. Feel the vibes on Sarah Swanlund’s rugs that radiate the music they have absorbed. Lynne Moir’s “Kilt hose” are exactly what you need for your next bagpipe performance! Discover additional music / visual art connections in works by Julia Merkel, Jenne Klotz, Madison Whitesell & Brad DrozdowskI.  Thank you to our artists!
