Posted August 30, 2019 in JMU Libraries News
Over the summer, the Music Library completed some necessary renovations to open up the space to become more helpful and useful to patrons while also keeping it fresh and interesting. The renovations included removing a large section of a wall, half of the large circulation counter, replacing 20-year-old carpeting as well as shifting several large sections of shelving and adding additional shelving once the wall and counter were removed.
This new setup increases collections visibility and will allow an easier approach to rearrange or change the space regularly as well as feature various collections and services. Overall, the renovations have made the entire space much more user-friendly. See the new changes for yourself in the Music Library in the basement of the Music Building.
