Music Library Opens Stacks

Posted September 12, 2016 in JMU Libraries News

For the first time in its history, JMU’s Music Library (located in the Music Building, B59) has opened its collection of musical scores, LPs, and CDs to the public. Visitors to the Music Library may now browse the shelves and find items themselves, without needing to request the assistance of a library employee.

The Music Library’s vinyl collection contains about 18,000 classical and jazz recordings, and the CD collection contains about 12,000 recordings in a variety of genres.
