Jennifer Keach Recognized with Distinguished Service Award

Please join us in congratulating Jennifer Keach on receiving the 2021 JMU Distinguished Service Award from the Division of Academic Affairs.
Keach is a JMU professor and Coordinator of Organizational Learning and Development for JMU Libraries.
She was nominated by peers in JMU Libraries not only for her leadership on several JMU Libraries committees, but also for her attitude of service:
“Jennifer’s professional service all connect to making JMU Libraries a safe, inclusive, productive workplace and making space for all Libraries staff and faculty to have their voices heard. Most recently, Jennifer has focused these efforts in leadership roles on a variety of committees in the Libraries, including the Organizational Learning Committee (OLC), Dean’s Action Committee on Organizational Culture (DAC), and the Council for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (CDEI).” – Nominator
“Jennifer is always engaged in professional service by lending an empathic ear, helping colleagues learn and grow, demonstrating consideration, and always being willing to help no matter the ask.” – Nominator
“Jennifer has been the linchpin in developing the OLC [Organizational Learning Committee]. This committee has helped strategically advance our organization with broad education efforts on topics like onboarding, productivity tools like Microsoft Teams, and performance management/evaluation culture. Her leadership of this group since its inception has been exemplary.” – Nominator
