Join Our Faculty Advisory Board

Please consider joining our Faculty Advisory Board, composed of 10-12 faculty from across the university. By sharing your experiences with JMU Libraries, you can help shape our programs, resources, and services to ensure that they remain aligned with the evolving needs of faculty, students, staff, and the community.

Who Can Join?

We aim to recruit 1-2 board members from each of the seven academic colleges who represent the diversity of our communities. We seek advisory board members from both full-time and part-time faculty employment types (with a stipend for part-time faculty members).

What Does the Faculty Advisory Board Do?

The advisory board will meet 4 times per academic year: an in-person kickoff meeting will be hosted soon after acceptances are announced, and the board will meet on Zoom twice per semester, starting in Fall 2024. Each board member will serve a 2-year term.
