It’s almost the end of the semester! As you wrap up fall, reflect, and start preparing for spring, remember that even though Carrier is under construction, we are here to support your research and teaching.
Here are 6 things we’re eager to help you with:
1. Getting your hands on the research materials you need. Whether you need a scholarly article or rare book, we’ve got you covered! You can request books and other items for pickup at any library desk or for delivery to your campus mailbox. This includes books in storage during construction and books from Interlibrary Loan!
2. Fine-tuning your Canvas courses: We can help you optimize your courses for Canvas. Visit our Learning Innovations & Design Desk page to request a consultation or receive technical assistance.
3. Making your course readings more affordable: Whether you want to assign free or low-cost online textbook options, or place materials on course reserves, we’ve got you covered.
4. Helping your students develop their skills: Invite us into your in-person or online classroom to help your students build skills in research and information literacy, media production, data literacy, technology, and more.
5. Advancing your research: We can help advance your research by consulting with you on topics such as avoiding predatory publishers, creating data management plans, posting your research on our open-access institutional repository to increase the visibility of your work, and more.
6. Fitting professional learning into your schedule: Now through spring, we’re offering five self-paced learning opportunities to support your teaching practices and course design work.
