Meet our Graduate Assistants for 2024-25

You know that JMU Libraries provides great resources and professional services, but did you also know that we provide undergraduate and graduate students with valuable real-world work experiences? JMU Libraries couldn’t do all that we do without the dedication of our student employees and graduate assistants. Here’s a little more about our talented graduate assistants:
- Benjamin Cook works with our Digital Scholarship & Distinctive Collections department, where he assists with integrating traditional scholarly methods with emerging technologies to question and investigate traditional scholarly paradigms.
- Cameron Courter is enrolled in JMU’s Adult Education and Human Resource Development program and is also a member of the JMU fencing club. Cameron works with our Educational Technology Services department.
- Chloé Lucas works with Libraries Human Resources. Chloé is a “Double Duke” pursuing her master’s degree in the Adult Education and Human Resources Development Program at the School of Education at JMU. She enjoys reading and her German Shepherd Reya.
- Almothana Matarnah is pursuing a master’s degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Physiology. He is also an avid soccer player and enjoys exploring how exercise can improve health. Almothana works with our Instructional Design team.
- Aleena Raja works with Media Production & Makerspace Services, encouraging creativity, brainstorming, exploring, rethinking, problem-solving and curiosity by providing access to expertise, cutting-edge technologies, multimedia equipment, workshops, and events.
- Joey Yizhou Sun works in our Digital Scholarship & Distinctive Collections department, where he integrates traditional scholarly methods with emerging technologies to question and investigate traditional scholarly paradigms.
