Changes to Rose & Carrier Starting in January

We’re excited for the Carrier Library renovation and expansion to begin in May 2023! You may see some changes in Carrier and Rose Libraries over the next few months.

We are currently moving selected books, The Carrier Makery, and Equipment Loans:

• Equipment Loans is moving from Carrier to the first floor of Rose. Equipment will be unavailable to borrow as we move this service between December 16 and January 16. The service will open in Rose on January 17, 2023. Learn more.

• The Makery location in Carrier Library will close on December 15, 2022. Much of its equipment is being moved to The Makery in Rose Library. Learn more.

• Some books are moving to Rose Library. We are relocating the books with call numbers starting with G, H, J, K, or L (and all reference books) from Carrier to Rose in early spring semester. Learn more.

Why are these changes necessary before construction starts? Starting these changes now makes it possible for us to start preparing library services and spaces that will support you while Carrier is temporarily closed for construction.
