Reminder: Don’t Stretch Images
To keep your graphics looking professional, it is important never to stretch images (in other words, be sure to preserve the height-to-width ratio). Most applications will allow you to resize an image by selecting the image and dragging the “handles” (or squares) that appear on the outside of the image. You should never use the side handles to resize an image, as this changes the proportions. In some applications, the corner handles will maintain the original proportions, but other applications require you to press Shift while dragging a corner handle in order to prevent stretching the image.
