OneDrive in Canvas at JMU

Overview

OneDrive in Canvas offers storage space for documents. You can use it to store, share, and sync your work files. With OneDrive in Canvas, you can update and share your files from any device. You can even simultaneously edit Office documents.

JMU faculty, staff, and students.

How do I get started using OneDrive in Canvas?

Faculty & Staff

  1. Visit the Microsoft 365 login page and log in using your full JMU email address (eID@jmu.edu)
  2. Select the app launcher grid in the upper left and choose OneDrive for Business
  3. Navigate to your Canvas course
  4. Select Settings in the bottom-left of your Course Navigation Menu
  5. Select Navigation in the Settings tabs at the top
  6. Select the three dots to the right of OneDrive in the bottom area and select Enable
  7. Select Save at the bottom

Students

  1. Log into dukes.jmu.edu using your full Dukes email address (eID@dukes.jmu.edu)
  2. Click the app launcher grid in the upper left and select OneDrive for Business
  3. Navigate to your Canvas course
  4. Select OneDrive in the Course Navigation Menu
