Anti-Colonial Music Analysis (Art Exhibit)

A new exhibit in the Music Library’s little Gallery Underground features final projects from Dr. Judith Ofcarcik’s doctoral theory seminar “Anti-Colonial Music Analysis,” offered in Spring 2023. In the course, students envisioned new ways of analyzing pieces and presenting their analyses, rather than relying solely on European-style methodology. Works included are by First Nations, Inuit, and Métis musicians from Canada.

This exhibit will be up until October 18, 2023.
