Booooo-ks!

From monsters, to mummies, witchcraft to extraterrestrials, the new book displays at Carrier Library and Rose Library focus on the paranormal myths and realities that surround Halloween.

With possible origins in Gaelic harvest festivals as well as the Christian holiday of All Hallows Eve, Halloween has evolved into a celebration of the strange and unusual, and brings to light society’s fascination with death, the afterlife, and the unknown.

So grab a collection of ghost stories, a graphic novel of ghoulishness, or even catch the latest in horror cinema and television, because this month is all about Halloween!
